First take the homeomorphism $\varphi :\mathbb{R}^2 \to D$ defined by $\varphi(x,y) = (x,\sqrt{1-x^2-y^2})$ for $(x,y) eq(0,0)$ and $\varphi(0,0) = (0,0)$.
You can deduce that $\varphi(\mathbb{R}^2 – \{(0,0)\}) = D- \{0\}$.

Then we can reduce the case of $\mathbb{R}^2-\{(0,0)\}$ to the unit disk $D$ by setting $\psi = \varphi^{ -1}$.
